One day, a little boy named Ethan was sitting in his room. Now he was playing with his little toy train set, driving them round and around on the tracks. He was having lots of fun because he'd made all kinds of very exciting tracks that had good little turns and weaves and all sorts of things. As he was playing, though, he heard a noise from on his roof Bonk, bonk, oh, maybe here. What is that? He thought. He walked over towards the door to try and listen more carefully. Um, hmm, maybe we could. All of a sudden, through his roof fell a man with a toolbox. Oh dear, what just happened? What are you doing here, said Ethan. And who are you? Oh, hello, my name is Bonego. Um, hi, bonego, what are you doing in my room?
Speaker 1:Well, I was on your roof working on my newest invention, and it turns out that the roof was not strong enough for me. What's your newest invention, said Ethan. Well, you see, this Benigo was holding some kind of strange satellite dish that had some extra pokey bits on the sides. Um, what is it, said Ethan. Ah, it is a very special listening device. You can listen to things from all around the entire world. What said Ethan? Yes, and it is very special because you can even talk back. Talk back, said Ethan. Yes, said Benito. Would you like to give it a try? Um, sure, that sounds like fun, but first we need to find a better place to sit it, because, turns out, your roof was not strong enough for me. And hang on, let me just fix the roof first. How are you going to fix the roof? Oh, yes, I have made very special robots that are very good at building. Hang on, benigo bent down and opened up his toolbox and started pulling out these tiny little robots Building, building, building. Yes, my robots, it is time to do some building, building, building, building, said the little robots. Okay, so see this giant hole in the roof that somebody might have fallen through. Definitely not me, but somebody may have fallen through that roof. Do you think that you can fix it? Build, build, build, build, build, build, build, said the robots. As they started running around the room, they were very excited and they got to work. Okay, ethan, we can leave the building robots to do the building and the fixing of the roof while we go find a new place to try my brand new invention.
Speaker 1:It needs a name. Can you think of a special name for it. Um, said Ethan. Let me think. Um, maybe we could call it the Sound Sucker. Oh, that is a great name, because it can suck in sounds from all over the world. It would be very exciting, but we need somewhere high to set up to be able to use it. Well, we could use my treehouse, said Ethan. Fantastic dig, said Benigo. Let us go.
Speaker 1:So Ethan and Benigo walked outside and climbed up the ladder to Ethan's treehouse. Once they were up there, benigo started tinkering with his machine and pointing it in all different directions. Okay, let me find something very interesting to listen to. Okay, let's point it that way. What are we going to hear, said Ethan. Well, I have a friend who lives in a jungle on the other side of the world. I think this is pointed at his house. Really, said Ethan. Really, said Benigo. So they pointed the listening device in that direction. Okay, press the button now, said Benigo.
Speaker 1:So Ethan pressed the big red button on the sound sucker and and the noise started to come through. One banana, two banana, three banana, four. Who's that? Said Ethan. Hey, who said that? Hello, barry, is that you? Yeah, it's me, barry, the gorilla. Who's talking, barry? It is Bonigo. Bonigo, how are you talking to me? Well, we have made a very special new invention that lets us talk to people on the other side of the world and hear what is going on. Oh well, I'm just collecting more bananas, said Barry. Um, what else do you want to listen to? Um, what do you think? Um, I've been practicing the drums. Want to hear me play the drums? Said Barry the gorilla. Definitely, said Ethan. All right, hang on. They could hear Barry the Gorilla moving over towards his drum kit. Oh, sorry, kicked over me cymbals. Hang on, he stood it back up again. All right, are you ready to hear my new drum solo? Said Barry the Gorilla. Yes, said Benigo. Go for it. Said Ethan, here we go. One, two, three, four. Barry the gorilla started smacking the drums and playing them very, very quickly.
Speaker 1:Ethan and Benigo were listening to the drums from the treehouse and having a wonderful time. Let's do some drum dancing, said Ethan. So Benigo and Ethan started dancing to the drum beat as Barry the gorilla continued to play from his jungle on the other side of the world. And that's the end, said Barry. That was fantastic, said Ethan. Yes, very good drumming, Barry. You are getting very, very good. Okay, we are going to go listen to some other things now and say hello to some other people. Is that okay? Um sure, all right, see you guys later. Bye, buddy, bye, yelled out Ethan. See you guys later. Bye, buddy, bye, yelled out Ethan, see you later, said Barry, and they ended the sound. Sucker call. That was so cool.
Speaker 1:What else can we listen to? Well, I wonder, I wonder, if it could go under the ocean. Under the ocean, said Ethan. What can we listen to down there? Well, I have a friend down at the bottom of the ocean. He is a uh, he is actually a crab. A crab, yes, he used to have a castle up on the sand, but he has moved down to his underwater holiday house for the moment. What's his name, said Ethan? His name is King Crabby Claws. King Crabby Claws, said Ethan. Yes, he is very important, he is a king.
Speaker 1:Would you like to try and listen to what King Krabby Claws is doing? Um sure, said Ethan, let's have a listen. Okay, we point it this way and adjust this dial here. And okay, this time I need you to press the blue button so it engages the special kind of sound waves that suck in the sound from under the sea. Ah okay, said ethan. So he pressed the blue button. Now we listen.
Speaker 1:As they were sitting, they could start to hear some noise. And left, 2, 3, 4, right, 2, 3, 4, spin 2, 3, 4, here we go. Um, king Krabby Klaus, is that you? Who? Who said that? It is me? Bonigo? Bonigo, what are you doing? How are you talking to me? Well, we have invented a special sound sucker that can suck sound from anywhere and allows us to talk back.
Speaker 1:Hi, I'm Ethan, said Ethan. Hello, I'm King Krabby Klaws. What are you doing? Listening to me? Well, we wanted to say hello, and this was the only way to get the message under the water. What are you doing, king Krabby Klaws? Well, it's a little bit embarrassing, that's okay, said Ethan. You don't have to tell us. No, I want to tell you, I'm trying to learn to dance. Really, said Benigo. Really, said King Krabby Claws, no-transcript. Well, maybe you could try and do the very special extra dancing. What do you mean the extra dancing? Said King Krabby Klaus. Who are you talking to? Who is that? Ah, that's Nippers. Hello, it is me, nippers. Hello, nippers, it is Bonigo.
Speaker 1:Do you think that you could build something for me if I give you the instructions? Um, maybe what you need to do is get three pieces of seaweed and fold them sideways. Okay, I think I've done it. Then you need to grab some of the sand from the very bottom of the ocean. Yes, I have some of that. Then you need to electrify it. Do you have an electric eel nearby? Um, let me see.
Speaker 1:So Nippers went around and looked until he found an electric eel. He came back inside. Ow, yes, I have one. Okay, make it. Electrify the seaweed. Okay, said Nippers, and he pointed the electric eel at the seaweed that he had just put together. As it zapped the seaweed, the seaweed came to life and stood up like a real person. What is going on? Said King Krabby Claws. This is your new dance partner. It will teach you how to do the dancing. The seaweed stood up with King Krabby Claws and they started to dance. Partner, it will teach you how to do the dancing. The seaweed stood up with King Krabby Kloes and they started to dance together. This is amazing. This is the best dancing I've ever been able to learn. You look incredible, said Nippers. That's amazing, said Ethan. Yes, it is, but I think we need to go actually watch you do the dancing. Are you ready to do a performance? Um, yes, I think we need to go actually watch you do the dancing. Are you ready to do a performance? Um, yes, I think so. You are definitely ready, said Nippers. Okay, we will be there very shortly. I'll see you soon. Okay, bye.
Speaker 1:Benigo hung up the sound sucker. How are we going to get to the bottom of the ocean? Said Ethan. Well, there is another invention that I have been working on that actually bought on to the sound soccer. What does it do? Said Ethan. You see, okay, we are still pointed in the right direction. But ego pulled out another invention from his toolbox and clicked it onto the side of the soundsucker. Okay, now you hold on to this handle. So Ethan grabbed hold of the handle that Benito was talking about, and I will hold this one. And he took the other one. Okay, here we go.
Speaker 1:Benigo pressed the giant purple button in the middle and, as he did, they got sucked into the sound sucker. Then they got blasted as sound waves all the way down to the bottom of the ocean and then reappeared right in front of King Krabby Claws and Nippers. How are we breathing? Said Ethan. Well, we are not really here, we are just sound versions of ourselves that look like us and appear in the right locations. That's amazing, said Ethan, said Nippers. Ah, yes, I will show you my dancing because I am King Krabby Claws.
Speaker 1:King Krabby Claws started to dance with his seaweed friend. It was amazing. Ethan and Benigo sat and clapped as they danced. I think you need more of a beat. Hang on. Benigo used the sound sucker and pointed it over back towards where Barry was. Then he started to talk Barry, we need more drum beats, so King Krabby Klaws can do the better dancing. All right, guys, I'll start drumming again. Ready, here we go? One, two, three, four, and Barry the gorilla, started playing his drums. And to the beat of the amazing drums, king Krabby Klaws and the seaweed creature were dancing unbelievably, so much so that Ethan and Benigo and Nippers all joined in. They had the most fun underwater dance party to the beats of the gorilla drums.
Speaker 1:Okay, this has been so much fun, but, ethan, it is time that I got you back home. Are you ready? Um, I think so, said Ethan. See you later. Bye, said Nippers. Goodbye, said King Krabby Claws. Um, I'm still here too. I'll see you later, said Barry. And with that they got sucked back to the treehouse.
Speaker 1:When they arrived back in the treehouse, Benigo and Ethan sat down. Wow, said Ethan, your inventions are incredible. Why, thank you, said Benigo, but I better go back to my workshop and start working on the next very exciting invention. Okay, said Ethan, I'll see you later. And with that, benigo collected his tools and his inventions and ran off down the street. Ethan walked back inside and, as he did, his mummy was there waiting. Hey, ethan, what were you doing up in the treehouse? It looked like fun. Well, said Ethan, I don't think you'd believe me, even if I told you and that is the end of the story. End of the story.
Speaker 1:This episode is brought to you by Bonigo Sound Sucker. If you need to listen to something anywhere in the whole entire world, you need a Bonigo Sound Sucker. Maybe even if there was a Silly Stories concert one day, you could point it at that and listen to the whole thing. Hopefully they play Bonigo Time 6. It is the best song on the Times Tables album. Well, anyway, this has been me Bon Igo and me Sam. We'll see you soon.
