WATCH THE VIDEO 10 X CHIMP BROTHERS HERE!
One day, two little kids named Alex and Kenzie were sitting down and eating their breakfast. They were having some rice bubbles and it was very delicious, but as they were munching, they could hear some noises outside. Okay, I think we can put this over here. And where was my hard hat? What was that? Said Kenzie. I don't know, said Alex, let's go see. They raced outside to see what was going on and when they got out the door there was a purple fuzzy creature wearing a hard hat. Hello, said the purple fuzzy creature. Who, who are you? Said Alex, I am the Pimpin. Everybody knows that I am the Pimpin, did you not know? Everybody knows that I am the Pimpin, did you not know? Um, no, said Kenzie. Wet, pimpin is me and I am the Pimpin and I am the best in the whole entire world. Why are you wearing a hard hat? Said Kenzie. Oh, because of something very, very exciting, super, duper exciting. Do you want to see? See what said Alex? Come with me, said Pimpin. Um, hang on a second.
Speaker 1:The kids went back inside. Hey, mum, there's a purple, fuzzy creature that wants us to come on an adventure with him. Is it Pimpin? Said their mum. It is Pimpin. Well, off you go. Then she said Okay, said the kids. They raced back outside. Um, we're allowed to come with you, hooray, said Pimpin. Okay, jump in this one.
Speaker 1:Pimpin had a truck that was sitting out the front of their house. Where's it going to take us? Said Kenzie. You will see, said Pimpin. So the kids jumped in and Pimpin started to drive. He wasn't a very good driver. He was a little bit all over the road, are you okay? Said Kenzie. Um, yes, I haven't driven a truck this big before. Actually, I haven't done any of this before. What, said Alex? Any of what? Um, well, I better not tell you yet because it is too exciting, said Pimpin. So the kids sat and Pimpin drove. And as they drove, pimpin came towards a giant construction site. It was huge. What are they building here, said Kenzie. Well, it is not really the matter of what they are building, it is more a matter of what I am going to do, said Pimpin. And what are you going to do, said Alex. Come with me, said Pimpin. But you need your hard hats. Pimpin pulled out two more hard hats and popped them on the heads of the kids. Come on, let's go, let's go, let's go. Said Pimpin as he jumped out of the truck and started cartwheeling across towards the building site. Oh dear, said Alex, I think this could get a little bit ridiculous.
Speaker 1:As they walked into the construction site, pimpin started walking straight past a whole bunch of people that were working. Hey, what are you doing? Oh, don't worry, I am in charge here. No, you're not, I'm in charge, said a different man. No, no, you just thought you were in charge, and now I am in charge. Get back to work, said Pimpin. The man was very confused.
Speaker 1:Pimpin kept walking. He walked past the people that were putting all kinds of structure together, straight towards a funny looking ladder. Where does this ladder go, said Kenzie. Yeah, said Alex, where does it go? Look at me Up, said Pimpin. The kids looked up. It turns out it wasn't just a ladder, it was some kind of gigantic ladder that led all the way to. Is that a crane? Said Alex. It is a crane, said Pimpin, and I have decided that I am going to be a crane driver. What said the kids? You can help, come on, let's go.
Speaker 1:So Pimpin and the kids started climbing up the giant ladder towards the crane. It was very, very, very high. The kids had never been so high in their whole entire life. They got higher and higher and higher until they reached the actual crane and they climbed inside. Okay, kids, which one of you knows how to drive a crane? What said Alex? We don't know how to drive a crane Me either, said Pimpim, but I'm sure we can work it out. We just need to grab control of these handily things. I think I'll sit in this chair and you kids do the watching. Okay, said the kids.
Speaker 1:They looked out the windows and pimp him grabbed control of the levers inside the crane. Um, I wonder what this one does. Wow, pimp him spun the crane around in a big circle. Whoa, said the kids. That seems to spin it. Oh, that was fun, let's spin the other way. Wow, pimpin spun the crane around in a big circle. Whoa, said the kids. That seems to spin it. Oh, that was fun, let's spin the other way. Whoa, pimpin spun it around again. Pimpin, yelled the kids. Okay, what does this one do? Said Pimpin as he pushed the other lever and the crane arm seemed to move up and down. Okay, that is the crane arm. This one is the spinny Whoa, that is the crane arm. This one is the spinny Woo.
Speaker 1:The kids started to spin again. Pimpin, stop spinning the crane, but it is so much fun. Ready, watch, woo, woo, woo Woo. I'm getting dizzy. Called out Kenzie, me too, said Alex, me three, said Pimpin, it's the best, oh dear, said the kids. Pimpin, slow down.
Speaker 1:Okay, now we need to do the picky-uppy of the things. The picky-uppy of the things, said Alex, what do you mean? Okay, which one drops down the big cable with the big grabby arms? The kids looked around. Maybe this one, said Kenzie. Pim-pim started pressing the button. It's working, hurry, okay. So first thing that we need to pick up is I don't know what could we pick up? I don't know, said the kids, maybe some of the construction materials?
Speaker 1:All of a sudden they heard a voice on the walkie-talkie that was inside the crane. Whoever's up in that crane, get out right now. This is the boss. You shouldn't be up there. I know, said Pimpin, let's pick up the man on the other end of the walkie-talkie. What said the kids? I can do it, said Pimpin. First we need to spin around three times. I'm still dizzy, said Alex. Then we do the army thing. The arm of the crane went up and down. Then we drop the grabby claw. Pimpin started to drop the grabby claw of the crane. It went straight down towards the man who was on the walkie-talkie. What? What's going on? He said Stop what you're doing, get out of the crane.
Speaker 1:But it was too late. The grabby arm of the crane had reached all the way down and grabbed hold of the boss of the building site. Then it picked him up in the air. Put me down. He yelled. Um, I think that we should do some swinging. Everybody likes the swing, said Pimpin. Uh, yeah, I like the swing, said Alex. Would you like to do the swinging? How do I do it, said Alex. Well, I think you get this lever just here and you go from side to side. Um, okay, he said.
Speaker 1:Alex started moving the lever from side to side and, sure enough, the crane started moving back and forth and the boss of the building site started to swing from side to side. Wow, put me down. He yelled. The kids laughed as he swung all around the place. Okay, now we need to put him outside the building site so he cannot stop us from playing with the crane. Okay, we move it this way. Pimpin continued to move the crane and then we stretch it this way and then we put him on the bus.
Speaker 1:What said Kenzie? Pimp, pim lowered the grabby arm of the crane until it dropped the boss of the building site on top of a bus that was moving. Wait, I gotta keep working, said the boss as the bus drove away. Now that the boss is out of the way, we can have some real fun. Who wants to do some building? Um, um, I like building sometimes, said Alex. Me too, said Kenzie, let's do it.
Speaker 1:So Pimpin and the kids started using the crane to grab the building materials and make something special. What are we going to make? Um, do you want to make a castle? Said Alex. Yay, said Kenzie, let's do it.
Speaker 1:So Alex and Kenzie and Pimpin worked with the crane and started moving things around. All of a sudden they heard a voice on the radio Uh, excuse me, crane driver, yes, um, what are you trying to build? Uh, the kids want to build a castle. Can you help us? Oh, that sounds like fun. Let's do it, said the worker down the bottom. Then Pimpin and the kids could see all the workers starting to talk together. Crane driver, do you have a name? Oh, yes, I am the Pimpim. Okay, pimpim, grab these ones over here and move them over to that spot over there. That'll work good for the castle wall. Hooray, said Pimpim.
Speaker 1:And so Pimpim and the kids and the workers all worked together. They used the crane and picked up all different building materials and placed them in all different areas. Then they grabbed some bits and put it up. As the castle it got taller and bigger. They worked so quickly and so fast, it was amazing. Until the castle was completely done.
Speaker 1:Hooray, said Pimpin. Um, can we go play in the castle? Said Alex. Yes, said Kenzie. Can we do that? Of course, maybe I can put you down there. Hang on, I lift the grabby arm up.
Speaker 1:Pimpin lifted the grabby arm of the crane back up again and then it seemed to swing around a little bit. What are you doing, said Pimpin. I gotta swing it inside the crane. What said the kids? Okay, hold still. And as Pimpim flicked it, the grabby arm of the crane flicked inside the crane and grabbed both the kids. Wow, they said as they swung outside the crane. Then Pimpim lowered them down onto the roof of the castle. This is the best yelled Alex. No, pimpim is the best yelled. Pimpim, kenzie laughed. All the workers were there waiting and they were pretending to be soldiers. Are you the king and queen of the castle, said one of the builders Um, I think so, said Alex, we are, said Kenzie. Well, we are here to serve you. They laughed, and so they all played castles for the rest of the afternoon.
Speaker 1:After they had been playing for a while, the boss of the building site started walking back in through the front gates. He looked up at the castle, he looked at the kids standing on top of the castle, he looked at all of his workers pretending to be soldiers. What, what is going on here? He said. Well, said Alex, I don't think you'd believe us, even if we told you. And that is the end of the story.
Speaker 1:This story has been brought to you by the Bim Bim Crane Company. If you need a building site turned into something that it is not meant to be call in the Bim Bim Crane Company, we can turn your building site into all kinds of things. We could make a castle or a skate ramp, or maybe we could even turn it into a swimming pool with water that is actually milk. We hope that you have been enjoying the silly stories for kids. Make sure to tell every single one of your friends and I mean every one of your friends, not just one or two of them. Tell every single one of them, because this has been me, the Pimpin and me Sam, we'll see you soon. ¶¶, ¶¶. © transcript Emily Beynon.
