Speaker 1:

One day a little boy named Mason was outside at his house. Now he was walking across to the car and he jumped in. He was very excited because today him and his mum were going to a play centre. He loved going to the play centre. There was all kinds of playgrounds and slides and all those sorts of things. So they started to drive and they drove along the road and as they were driving, mason could see something out of his window. Um, mum, did you, did you see that? See what? Said his mum. I thought I saw something orange buzzing past the car. Orange Said his mum, don't, don't be Mason, I don't think there'd be something orange buzzing past our car. Oh, I must have been seeing something.

Speaker 1:

As they continued to drive, mason all of a sudden thought he saw something else. Mum, I saw something blue buzzing past the car. Mason, said his mum, are you sure? I think so, said Mason. Well, let's just keep going. We're almost at the play centre. So Mason and his mum're almost at the play centre.

Speaker 1:

So Mason and his mum pulled up at the play centre. He was so excited. Let's go in, mum, let's go. He said Okay. She said she opened the door and Mason jumped out and they raced inside the play centre. As they got inside, mason was super duper excited. Mum, can I go to the slide first? Sure, said his mum as he was walking over to the slide. What was that? Said Mason. I saw it. That time, said his mom, I'm going to go look. All right, said his mom. You go have fun.

Speaker 1:

So Mason started moving in the direction that he had seen the buzzing. I think it went this way, he said, walking over towards the base of the slide. As he got there, there was a fuzzy little orange man. Um, who, who are you? Said Mason. I'm Fizzy Whistler, said the fuzzy haired little orange man, and I'm here to have extra fun. Um, extra fun, said Mason. We're at a play centre. It's already so much fun, I know, but I can make it even more fun. Um, how are you going to do that? Normally I make a very big mess, but today I have learnt a new trick. A new trick, said Mason. Yes, instead of destroying everything, I can do something else now. Um, what can you do? Said Mason. Well, when I fizz and I whiz, extremely exciting things happen. Watch this, said Fizzy Whistler.

Speaker 1:

Fizzy Whistler fizzed off in the direction of the slide. Where's he going, said Mason as he looked across. Whoop, the slide flipped upside down. Fizzy Whistler, what did you do? I can make things flip upside down, said Fizzy Whistler. What, said Mason? That is, fizzy Whistler started fizzing all over the playground and everywhere he went the playground would flip upside down. The play center was getting flipped everywhere. The monkey bars were upside down, the big slides were upside down, the climbing frames were upside down, even the bouncing castle that was in the middle was upside down. Um, fizzy Whistler, if it's all upside down, no one will be able to play. Hang on a second, said Fizzy Whistler, and he came back over towards Mason. Hold still, said Fizzy Whistler.

Speaker 1:

So Mason stood very still and Fizzy Whistler started to fizz around the outside of him. And as he fizzed and he whizzed, mason started to feel very, very strange. Then whoa, said Mason, as he flipped upside down. What's going on? Said Mason. Well, now you can play on the upside down playground, said Fizzy Whistler. Hooray, said Mason. This is, this is his mum. Looked across Mason. You're upside down, I know, said Mason. Fizzy Whistler did it. Hello, said Fizzy Whistler. I'm Fizzy Whistler. Um hi, said Mason's mum. Come on, mason, let's go, said Fizzy Whistler. So Fizzy Whistler and Mason started running around the playground.

Speaker 1:

It was very strange being upside down and still being able to play on all the equipment. Mason went up to the top, which was kind of the bottom of the slide, and he looked up or maybe it was down. He couldn't quite work it out. Um, what do I do now? Said Mason. You slide? Oh, okay. So Mason jumped on the slide Z, throw him in all kinds of different directions. This is straight. Oh actually, no, this is. This is so much fun, yelled Mason. He was so excited. Let's go do more things.

Speaker 1:

It was very ridiculous to see a kid who was playing on all kinds of upside down play equipment. The other kids at the play center thought this was very cool too. Hey, I want to go on the upside down slide, said one of the little kids. Don't worry, said Fizzy Whistler, I can make everybody come on the upside down equipment. Okay, hold still kids.

Speaker 1:

Fizzy Whistler went over to all the other kids at the play centre and started fizzing and whizzing all around the outside of them. Fizzy whizz, whizz, whizz, whizz, whizz, whizz, whizz, whizz, whizz. As he did, each one of the kids began to flip Upside down, upside down, upside down. The kids were laughing and giggling as they all got flipped. In no time at all. All the kids were standing on the roof of the play centre and starting to play with all the upside down play equipment. It was incredible. They played and they played and they played until All right, it's time to go home, called one of the little boy's mummies.

Speaker 1:

Um, said the little boy, I don't know how to get down. Oh, said Fizzy Whistler, I didn't think of that. What Said Mason? Well, I only know how to flip things upside down. I don't know how to flip them back the other way. Um, we might be in trouble, said Mason. Big trouble, said the little boy's mom. Quick, come down, I can't, said the little boy. What are we going to do? Said Mason.

Speaker 1:

Um, I hate to say it, said Fizzy Whistler, but we might need my brother, your brother. Yes, it seems that whatever I mix up, he seems to be able to fix. So you think he might be able to get us all back up the right way. Um, yes, how do we find him? Said Mason. Well, he's blue and he has fuzzy hair, just like mine. Um, often you can find him somewhere near me. Um, okay, all right, everybody called out. Mason, we need to find some fuzzy blue hair. Everybody search the playground, he called.

Speaker 1:

So all the kids started searching the upside down play equipment at the amazing upside down play center. As they searched and they searched, they looked in every different area. We can't find him anywhere. I'm going to play in the upside down ball pit, yelled one of the kids as he did a big jump into the ball pit. It was very strange watching the balls go down and then back up again. But as he hit the bottom of the ball pit, oh that tickles, said the kid. Tickles said Mason, that sounds like something fuzzy, hang on.

Speaker 1:

Mason ran across to the ball pit as well and he jumped into the air and dived to the top. Or was it the bottom? He wasn't quite sure. But when he got there he saw something blue and fuzzy. I think I found it, said Mason. He touched the fuzzy blue hair.

Speaker 1:

Out of the ground popped a blue, fuzzy-haired little man. I'm Whizzy Fizzler. Uh-oh, he said as he looked around. Fizzy, have you been flipping things upside down? Um, no, said Fizzy Whistler, I know that you have. Okay, well, I'm guessing you found me, because you need it all flipped back up the right way. Um, I think no, said Fizzy Whistler. I think yes, said Mason. The kids need to start going home and nobody can get back down to the ground. Okay, said Fizzy Whistler, let's go, but I need some help. What help do you need, said Mason. Well, I think I need everybody to throw all those ball pit balls in my direction. What's that going to do, said Mason. Well, said Wizzy Fizzler, it's going to be a lot of fun.

Speaker 1:

Ready kids, the kids all crowded around the ball pit and Wizzy Fizzler sat in the middle. Yes, said the kids. Okay, one, two, three. Whizzy Fizzler started to whiz. As he started to spin, the kids started throwing the ball pit balls straight at him. The balls were getting knocked in all the different directions and each time they flew over to something and hit it, it would flip back up the right way. First it hit a piece of the playground equipment and the monkey bars went back down to the ground. Then another piece, then another piece. Then they started hitting all the kids, said one of the kids as he started to flip over and float back down to the ground. Hooray, said his mummy. Keep going, said Fizzy Whistler. I whizzed, said Whizzy Fizzler, as he continued to whiz around the entire playground In no time at all.

Speaker 1:

Everything had flipped back around the right way. Hooray, said Mason, we did it. Yes, we did. Said Whizzy Fizzler. I think we should flip it back the other way, said Fizzy Fizzler. No, you don't. Said Fizzy Fizzler. As he tapped Fizzy Fizzler on the shoulder, Ow? Um, anybody want to tap my hair again and make me go fizzy? Um, maybe later, said Mason, not right now. Said Fizzy Fizzler. Um, okay, I think my work here is done, said Whizzy Fizzler. Thank you, I had lots of fun.

Speaker 1:

Just then, the man who owned the play center came out. That was the coolest thing ever. He said Um, do you guys want to come back next Tuesday and we can do upside down day for the kids? Really, said Fizzy Whizzler. Really, said the man. But you need to be there too, he said to Whizzy Fizzler, so that we can get the kids home when they need to go. Okay, said Whizzywhizzler, we'll see you next Tuesday. Hooray, said the man. This is going to be the best play centre ever. As Mason walked back over to his mum, she smiled. Hi, mason, said his mum. Did you have a lot of fun? Well, he said, I don't think you'd believe me, even if I told you and that is the end of the story Today's episode is brought to you by Fizzy Whistler's Upside Down Play Center.
