Speaker 1:

One day two little kids named Joey and Tommy were sitting in their front room. They were looking out the window watching all the cars go past. There was lots of different cars, and they decided to play a game where they'd pick the colour of a car that they were looking for and if they found it, they would yell spotter, let's make it yellow, said Joey. Okay, said Tommy. They watched and watched. I see one, said Tommy. Oh, yeah, I mean spotter. Okay, you win. All right, what colour should we do next?

Speaker 1:

As they were looking out the window, all of a sudden a very big truck started to drive straight towards their house. Tommy, does that truck look like it's coming here? It does, said Tommy. Where do you think it's coming from? Said Joey. I don't know. As the truck got closer, they could see inside the front window. Um, tommy, yes, joey. Um, is there a teddy bear driving that truck? Honk, honk, went the truck as it pulled up out the front of their house.

Speaker 1:

The boys raced outside. When they got out there, the teddy bear climbed out of the front seat. Hey, are you Joey? Um yes, said Joey. And are you Tommy? Um yes, said Tommy. Who are you?

Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm Teddy Winkle, and I have heard that you kids are looking for something fun to do. Well, we are, said Tommy. Well, we were playing a game, said Joey, where we picked different coloured cars. Oh, that sounds like fun. But do you guys want to come help me do some deliveries? Really, said the boys. Really, said Teddy Winkle, jump in the Teddy Winkle truck. Oh, that sounds like fun.

Speaker 1:

Okay, the boys raced around to the side of the truck. The truck was huge. They had to climb up a little ladder to be able to get to the cabin. Then, when they opened the door and looked inside, whoa, look at all this, said Tommy. Yeah, said Teddy Winkle as he climbed in the other side. If you're driving a truck, you need all the fun things. They looked around. There was a cupboard that seemed to be full of food, a fridge that had some juice boxes in there, and then there was even all kinds of colourful, funny lights and funny looking buttons. This is going to be fun. Jump in, put on your seat buckles, said Teddy Winkle. Okay, said the boys. So they jumped in their seats and buckled up. All right, here we go, joey, can you pull that rope just there? Okay, said Joey. And when he pulled the rope, went the truck. Wow, that's fun. Can I have a turn? Said Tommy. Of course, said Teddy Winkle. Went the truck. The boys laughed this is so much fun. Here we go, said Teddy Winkle, as the truck started to drive away from their house.

Speaker 1:

As they were driving along the road, tommy turned to Teddy Winkle. Um, teddy Winkle, where are we going? Well, first we got to do a little bit of a pickup. What are we picking up, said Tommy. You'll see, said Teddy Winkle, as they drove along the road, they pulled into what looked like some kind of strange looking farm. They drove down a very long driveway and Teddy Winkle pulled up the front. Pull that horn one more time, kids. All right, they said Bop went the truck and as it did, the doors of the big barn of the farm opened up and out came something very, very strange.

Speaker 1:

Yee-haw, out came galloping a bunch of building blocks, building blocks with legs. What are those, said Joey. Yes, said Tommy. What is that? They're building blocks, said Teddy Winkle. Why do they have legs and why are they galloping around like horses? I don't know, said Teddy Winkle, we're just the delivery drivers. But, um, maybe they might need some help. They looked out the window. There was a man running around trying to catch all the building blocks. They were running everywhere. Help, help, yelled the man. I told you he definitely needs our help. Come on, boys, let's go.

Speaker 1:

So Teddy Winkle, joey and Tommy all jumped out of the truck. How can we help? Said Teddy Winkle. Joey and Tommy all jumped out of the truck. How can we help, said Teddy Winkle. We've got to catch all these building blocks. They've got loose. How do we catch them? Said Joey. Um, um, maybe just tackle them and try and hold on. All right, said Tommy, let's go.

Speaker 1:

The boys and Teddy Winkle raced off and all started chasing after the different building blocks. Joey grabbed a hold of one and jumped on top. Wow, he said, as the building block kept galloping around the yard. He held on tight and then aimed it towards the truck. Open the truck, teddy Winkle, he yelled. All right, said Teddy Winkle. He raced over and opened the back of the truck. A big ramp came down and he rode the building block straight into the back and when he did it, sat down and stopped. It's working. Come on, let's catch the others, I'm gonna catch one too, said Teddy Winkle. He jumped on one of the building blocks. Wow, he said, as it bucked him around and he was getting thrown all over the place. But he held on tight and galloped the building block all the way into the back of the truck.

Speaker 1:

As Teddy Winkle and the boys caught the building block all the way into the back of the truck, as Teddy Winkle and the boys caught the building blocks one by one, they rode them all back inside the truck until there was a beautifully stacked pile of all the blocks at the end of the truck. Well done, said the man. You guys are very talented at that. Thanks, said Tommy. Yeah, said Joey, that was a lot of fun. I might take one more out for a quick ride. Me too, said Tommy. And they jumped back in the back of the truck, grabbed one building block each and went for one more short, little, very fun ride. Then, when they loaded it back up, they waved All right, said Teddy Winkle, we better get going.

Speaker 1:

We got to get these to the toy shop, but before we do we need to pick up a few more things. More things, said Tommy. Yeah, said Teddy Winkle, we're not just delivering building blocks, we need to find the other things as well. Let's go. So the boys and Teddy Winkle drove off from the farm and they waved as they went out the driveway. Where are we going next? Teddy Winkle said Tommy. Well, said Teddy Winkle, we're off to the racing track. The racing track, said Joey, what are? Well, we've got to pick up the toy cars. Toy cars, said Tommy. I love toy cars, me too. Said Joey, let's go. Honk, honk. Who pulled the horn? That was me, said Tommy. Good job, let's go.

Speaker 1:

They drove the truck around and around until they started to approach the place and they could hear the cars going round and around Meow, meow, meow, meow. Um, teddy Winkle, said Tommy, yes, tommy, um, those don't look like toy cars, they look like full-size cars. Well, every toy car starts off as a full-size car. You just got to shrink it down. What said Joey? Yeah, didn't you know that? No, said Tommy. Yeah, we just got to get the very special shrink ray and use it on these race cars. And then we got to put them in the boxes and get them in the back of the truck. Okay, said the boys, where's the shrink ray? Here it is, said Teddy Winkle, as he pulled one out from one of the cupboards inside the cabin of the truck. All right, boys, here's one for you, tommy, and then Teddy Winkle pulled out another one, and one for you, joey. Uh, okay, so what do we do? Well, head out to the racetrack and then just start blasting cars. Whichever one you get, it'll shrink down, and then grab it and put it in a box. Uh okay, they said. It seemed like a very fun idea.

Speaker 1:

So the two boys went with their shrink rays out towards the racing track. They could see the cars flying around at top speed. Hey, those cars don't have any drivers, said Joey. Of course not, said Teddy Winkle. They're toy giant cars. Oh, okay, let's get them.

Speaker 1:

So the boys pointed their shrink rays at the different cars and as they started to shoot, one of the cars got shrunk down to toy size. Tommy went over and picked it up and put it in a box. It works, he said. Of course it works, said Teddy Winkle. My turn, said Joey. He blasted his shrink ray over at another one. He picked it up and popped it in the box. It's working, this is so much fun. Yeah, said Tommy, uh-oh, trip.

Speaker 1:

Tommy tripped over and as he did, he pointed the shrink ray straight towards Teddy Winkle. Beesh, no, uh-oh, said Joey. I think you shrunk, teddy Winkle. I think I did. What do we do now? I'm gonna get you, said Teddy Winkle, make me big again. Um, we don't know how to make you big again, said Tommy. Use the reverse mode on the shrink ray, said Teddy Winkle. Oh, okay. So they found the reverse switch on the shrink ray and they pointed it at Teddy Winkle. Oh, that was wild. I didn't like being teeny tiny. Yeah, sorry, teddy Winkle, come on, let's zap all the cars.

Speaker 1:

So the boys kept zapping their shrink rays and were very careful to only hit the cars this time. Once they had collected enough and filled all the boxes that they had, they carried them over to the truck. All right, said Teddy Winkle, we got to get these to the toy shop. Let's go. All right, said the boys. Um, joey, yes, said Joey. Do you want to turn it? What, said Joey? Yeah, why not? Said Teddy Winkle. It's a very special truck. It's designed so that anybody is allowed to drive it. Oh, okay.

Speaker 1:

So Joey climbed into the driver's seat of the truck and started driving down the road. It was amazing. The truck was very easy to drive. He could keep it perfectly in the lane as they drove down the road. All right, I'm going to pull the horn. This time he pulled the horn, went the truck.

Speaker 1:

The boys both laughed. Which way do I go? Said Joey, um, follow the satellite navigation. Where's the satellite navigation? Said Joey. Um, well, it's actually a smell-a-light navigation. A smell-a-light yeah? Um, hang on, I'll turn it on.

Speaker 1:

Teddy Winkle flicked a switch on the truck and then all of a sudden, oh that smells nice, said Joey. That means you're going in the right direction. Oh, okay, what happens if I turn? Joey started to turn the truck. Oh, that stinks, said Joey. That means you're going in the wrong direction. I like smell a lot Navigation. The boys laughed, and so Joey followed his nose. Whenever things smelled good, he kept heading that direction. But as soon as it started to smell bad Teddy Winkle, did you take your shoes off? That stinks. No, turn the truck. They would straighten up and turn until things smelt good again.

Speaker 1:

As they continued along the road they could see it the giant toy shop. Wow, said Tommy, that is the biggest toy shop I have ever seen. Yeah, said Joey, it's ginormous, and this is where we're going. Pull up. Just over there. They pulled up the truck in the loading bay and Joey reversed the truck right up to the shop when they opened the back of it out, galloped all the building blocks. Yeehaw, the building blocks started bouncing out out of the truck and running into the toy shop. Uh-oh, said Tommy, don't worry, said Teddy Winkle, they're used to that around here. They looked inside the toy shop. Uh-oh, said Tommy, don't worry, said Teddy Winkle, they're used to that around here.

Speaker 1:

They looked inside the toy shop and there were all the workers with lassoos roping up all the building blocks and putting them in the right location. Then they came and collected all the toy cars and they put them in a very, very, very big area. Why is the area so big for this tiny thing of toy cars? Well, we're not gonna leave them teeny tiny, said Teddy Winkle. What said Tommy? What are you talking about, shrink ray, please? Teddy Winkle pointed the shrink ray at all the tiny toy cars and they went back to full size cars. Teddy Winkle, what? That's not a toy car? Yes, it is, said Teddy Winkle. No, toy cars are meant to be small, like they were. No, toy cars are meant to be big. How else are you meant to sit on top of it and do laps around the crazy racetrack? Oh dear, said the boys. I think we misunderstood. All right, boys, the shop's not open yet, and you know what that means. Um, we have to leave, said Joey. No, said Teddy Winkle. It means we get to play with all the toys before they open. Come on.

Speaker 1:

Teddy Winkle went running off into the toy shop and the boys followed. The toys in the shop were quite different to the toys that they had played with before. There was board games that would stand up and dance every time you moved your piece. There was dolls that would walk around and then do cartwheels before doing a backflip into their sleeping beds. There was teddy bears everywhere. Hello, boys, said Teddy Winkle. Teddy Winkle, hooray, oh, my goodness. All the teddies seem to know Teddy Winkle. Yeah, they're all my friends. It's good fun coming and hanging out at this toy shop. Hey, try this one.

Speaker 1:

Teddy Winkle threw a frisbee over towards the boys, but as he threw it it split into seven pieces, which all started spinning around the boys around and around and around, and then it reformed into one frisbee and landed in Tommy's hand. Whoa, said Joey. That was cool, throw it to me. Tommy threw the frisbee to Joey and it split into eight pieces this time. Wow, that's amazing. And you know what, said Teddy Winkle, you boys can take that one home, really, they said. Really, speaking of home, we better get you there. Come on. And this shop's about to open. I don't want to get sold. All right, said the boys, let Come on. And this shop's about to open. I don't want to get sold. All right, said the boys, let's go.

Speaker 1:

They raced back towards the truck and they jumped in. This time Tommy got to drive and he drove them all the way home using the smell-o-light navigation. Oh, that stinks. Oh no, that time it was me, said Teddy Winkle. The boys all laughed.

Speaker 1:

When they pulled up at the front of the house, the boys climbed out. Thanks, teddy Winkle, that was really fun. Thanks for all your help. I don't think I could have done it without you. All right, I'll see you next time, said Teddy Winkle. Bye, said the boys as they walked back towards their house. When they walked in the front door, their mum was there waiting. How was it? What did you end up delivering? Well, said Joey, I don't think you'd believe us, even if we told you. And that is the end of the story. This episode's been brought to you by Teddy Winkle Logistics.
