Speaker 1:

One day, two little kids named Chloe and Eli were going to the shops. Now, they had been walking around for a while. They'd been to the supermarket and they'd been to a few other places to buy some things that they needed. All right, we need to go to the next level now, said Eli. Let's find an escalator. Okay, said Chloe. So they started walking around trying to find an escalator and they came across one that had some kind of strange sign next to it and there was a little man that was working on it with a funny looking toolbox. Um, excuse me, said eli. Yes, said the man. Um, is this escalator okay to use? Oh well, of course it is. Yes, it is definitely a red. Oh, hang on one more second. What said chloe? As she watched the man turn back around and jam his screwdriver into a few different bits and pieces. He was tinkering with all the internals of the escalator. Um, I think we should find a different one, said Chloe. No, no, no, no, no, said the man. This one is pretty much ready. I think it is ready for the testing. Would you like to do some of the testing? Testing, said Eli. What kind of testing does it need? Well, this is not a normal escalator. It is a very special escalator that I have designed for a very special reason and just for two kids named Chloe and Eli. Hey, that's us. Oh, yes, perfect timing, said Benega. I'm so glad that you kids are here at the very most perfectest time. Okay, so are you ready to go on my escalator? But who are you, said Chloe Me, my name is Bonigo. Benigo said Eli. Yes, I am a very special inventor. Well, that sounds like it could be a bit of fun, said Chloe. Yes, said Eli. Um, there's not too many things that you can do different with an escalator. Oh, that is where you are wrong, but let's have a try, said Benigo. Okay, said the kids.

Speaker 1:

Benigo removed the cones around the base of the escalator and then he pressed a button. It started to move. It looked quite normal at the beginning. Um, are we right to step on? Said Chloe. Yes, of course, said Benigo. Step on, step on, step on.

Speaker 1:

So Eli and Chloe both stepped onto the escalator. As they stepped on, it started to speed up. Whoa, is it just going to take us to the top really fast? I hope so, said Chloe, as they were going up very quickly. No, no, no, said Benigo when it was almost at the top, it stopped and it started going backwards. What said Eli? How are we going to get to the top? Maybe we start trying to race against it, said Chloe.

Speaker 1:

So Eli and Chloe started to try and run against the escalator, but it was going far too fast. In no time at all they were back down at the bottom. Benigo, we're trying to get to the top, yes, but you need to do it the most funnest way, said Benigo. Watch this. Then, as they were standing at the bottom waiting, it stopped. What now? Said Eli. Wait for it, said Benigo. Okay, said the kids. Then, from behind them, seats popped up out of the escalator and they sat down. What is happening, said Eli. I don't know, said Chloe. Hold on, said Benigo.

Speaker 1:

Then the escalator went to maximum speed. It blasted them straight to the very top and then, wow, they went zooming through the sky. It threw them in the air over all the shops. The people on the top level were watching as two kids went flying straight over the top of them. Wow, look at those kids, they're flying. As the kids went zooming over, they had no idea where they were going to land. And then they saw it Another escalator. As they came flying down to the other escalator, they landed on two more seats. Wow, said Chloe. Yes, it ain't light. Thank goodness they were here.

Speaker 1:

As they went back down to the bottom of that escalator, it stopped, and at the bottom was Benigo. How did you get here so fast? Well, I did not want to miss the landing. Um, well, but this hasn't actually got us to the top level where we need to go yet. No, no, no, it is not about getting to the top level, it is about getting to the new locations. New locations, said Chloe. Yes, this is all about inter-shopping center transport. Inter-shopping center transport, said Chloe. Yes, we are going to a new one right now and I think I will come for this one.

Speaker 1:

What said Eli? Hold on, said Benigo. As their seats turned around and another one popped out next to them, benigo climbed onto the extra seat and sat down. Seat buckles, please, seat buckles. How's that gonna work? Just do it quickly, said Benigo, before it starts to OK, said Chloe Click. Yes, eli, click. Eli and Chloe were buckled in, and Benigo buckled in too. Then they heard the escalator started to make a very funny rumbly noise. It was very loud. Um, are you sure this is safe, said Eli. Um well, none of my inventions are completely safe, but they are completely fun, said Benigo, Hold on.

Speaker 1:

And the escalator started to move so quickly that it shot the two kids and Benigo straight up, straight out the roof of the shopping centre and into the sky. What is happening, said Chloe, as they went up into the sky, they could see above them some kind of funny-looking wire. What is that? Said Chloe. It is the zip line.

Speaker 1:

What said Eli as they went up, their seats extended with special hooks that hooked onto the zipline, and then they started shooting along the zipline. Where are we going, said Eli. Well, this shopping center does not have the shop that I need, so we are going to another one that is nearby, and very quickly, my zipline. As they zoomed along, they came down until they could see another shopping center. Hey, I know this place, said Chloe. Yes, said Eli, we've been here before.

Speaker 1:

Hold on, said Benigo, as they were ziplining over the top of that supermarket. Their hooks let go, they said as they started flying down into the shopping center. They dropped straight through the roof and hey, look an escalator, said Eli. They landed on that escalator and slowly tracked their way down to the bottom. When they got there, benigo climbed off. It worked. It worked. I didn't think it would, but it worked. What said Eli? You sent us on that amazing zipline adventure without having ever tested it.

Speaker 1:

Well, said Benigo, I didn't have time to test. I really needed to get to this shop. How come, said Chloe. Well, I needed some new products for working on my tools. I needed a very special oil that they only sell at the shop here. Oh, my goodness, said the kids, that was incredible and a little bit silly too. Yes, all of my inventions are a little bit silly, but let's go get the oil. So Benigo, chloe and Eli all went to the shop that Benigo needed. It was a special tool shop, and they purchased some special oil and some special other tools as well while they were there. Okay, I put them all into my toolbox and it is best that we get back to Actually, let's make a detour on the way.

Speaker 1:

Where are we going to? To actually let's make a detour on the way. Where are we going to go, said Chloe. Well, did you know that Tiger Pal has a lolly shop over at the different shopping center? Um, yes, said the kids, we've heard about it. Well, I think we need a lolly on the way home. Hooray, said the kids.

Speaker 1:

So Benigo and the kids went over to the escalator where they had landed. As they walked over, benigo reached down and pressed the special button on the side Boop and three seats popped up out of the escalator. Seat buckles, please, said Benigo. Okay, said the kids. So they did up their seat buckles and then they heard the rumble once more. Is everybody ready, said Benigo. I think so, said the kids. Three, two, oh, I miscounted. The escalator blasted them up into the sky and shot them high up outside the roof of the shopping center.

Speaker 1:

Which zipline? I can see lots of them this time, said Eli. Don't worry, said Benigo, the seat knows which way to go. Hooray, said the kids. But unfortunately Eli's seat clicked onto one zipline, chloe's seat clicked onto another and benigo's clicked onto a third. Oh dear, said benigo, as they all ziplined in different direction. Find an escalator and jump on. Hopefully it will work.

Speaker 1:

As they all zipped off in different directions, chloe and eli were very unsure what was happening, but fortunately for them, as they were zipping along their lines, they realized hey, I can see you. Chloe called out Eli from his zip line. Hey, this must be taking us in a similar direction. As they zipped along, they went all the way around through different neighborhoods and over the top of lots of places, including playgrounds and all sorts of things, until they could see a shopping centre coming up. Hopefully, that's the right one. Ah, hold on, yelled out Eli. I am holding on, said Chloe. Zoom, zoom, zoom.

Speaker 1:

Their chairs let go and they came falling into the same shopping centre, but at different escalators. When they hit and landed, they started to walk around to try and find each other. Um well, thought Eli. We did say that we were going to Tiger Power's lolly shop, so maybe I'll just try and go there. Luckily, chloe had thought the exact same thing.

Speaker 1:

Using the directory at the shopping centre, they were both able to make their way to Tiger Power's lolly shop. When they arrived at the front, they met each other. We made it, said Eli. Hooray, said Chloe. But what about Benigo? That's when, from inside the shop, benigo stuck out his head. Hello children, lucky, we all made it to the same shopping centre. Come in, I will buy you a very special lolly from Tiger Power. Hoorayay called the kids. So they went in and they were each able to pick one lolly each. Unfortunately, tiger pal wasn't there today. He was off on a different adventure.

Speaker 1:

But as they ate their delicious lollies that tasted like things they had never expected in their whole entire life, they started to walk back to the escalator. Mine tastes like oranges dipped in pineapple with a little bit of sparkly sherbet around the outside. That tickles into my brain, said Chloe. Mine tastes like blueberries that got shot out of some kind of cannon through a canopy of bananas and then has somehow picked up some mangoes along the way. And then if you took all of that and popped it inside a sour lolly, it would oh, it's delicious, said Eli. Ha ha, yes, tiger Pal does make the best lollies in the whole entire world.

Speaker 1:

But we better get back to the other shopping centre. You need to get to the top level. Yeah, we do, said Chloe. I almost forgot, said Eli. Back to the escalator, said Benigo. So as they went back to the escalator, this time, benigo made sure to press the button in the exact right way so that it would send them back exactly where they needed to be. They heard the rumble and the escalator shot them up into the sky. This time they all landed on the same zip line and as they zipped across the sky, over all the houses and places, they could see the right shopping center coming back into view as they dropped in through the ceiling and landed on the escalator. This time it took them all the way to the bottom and then all the way back up to the top and stopped. They unclicked their seat belts and climbed off their chairs. They were finally on the second level, ready to continue their shopping.

Speaker 1:

Well, children, did you have lots of fun? Definitely, said Chloe. The most fun, said Eli, I can't even remember what we're shopping for. Um, I remember, said Chloe, it's that shop just over there. Thanks, benigo, they said. You're welcome, said Benigo. As they walked over into the right shop where they needed to be, the person at the shop turned to them. Um, did I just see you kids flying through the ceiling on chairs that connected to the escalator? How did you do that? Well, said Chloe, I don't think you'd believe us, even if we told you. And that is the end of the story.
