OK… Let’s Go!
This is a special episode. Live from my backyard going for a walk with Zali. Hey, zali, zali, april, would you like a story? Yeah, okay.
Speaker 1:One day a little girl named Zali was going for a walk down by a creek. As she was walking along the edge of the creek, she started to hear a noise. What's that? She thought as she walked over to have a look. When she got close, she could see something was swimming in the creek. What is that? She thought. She looked very, very closely, closely. Yeah, it was.
Speaker 1:Oh hello, said a voice. Why is there a tiger in our creek? Said Zali. All of a sudden, the tiger climbed out. Hey, hey, zali, is that you? Um, yes, said Zali.
Speaker 1:How did you know my name? Well, said the little tiger, I have been waiting for you to come down here for ages. It's very special that you're coming down. Are you excited to come for an adventure with me? What do you mean, said Zali. I didn't know I was coming on an adventure with you. Yeah, that's why your mummy told you to come for a walk down here. Really, said Zali. She looked back at the house and there was her mummy waving. Have fun, zali. Enjoy playing with Tiger Pal Hooray, said Zali Okay, well, I guess I'll come on an adventure with you. That sounds like fun. Where are we going? Well, first things first, we need to make a little raft. Really, said Zali. Yeah, let's do it.
Speaker 1:So Zali and Tiger Power started to look for things to make a raft. They looked around near the creek to see what they could find. Zali found some sticks and Tiger Power found some leaves and some branches and they started putting them all together. Yeah, so they tied the leaves and sticks and branches together until it made a raft. It looks good, said Zali. Yeah, said Tiger Pear. Now we need a way of making it go super duper fast. What said Zali? Don't rafts just float down the river? Yeah, some rafts do, but our raft is going to go super duper fast, so we need to find a way to make it do that.
Speaker 1:As they were trying to work out the way to make it go the fastest, zali noticed something in the creek. Um, tigerpow, what's that over there? He looked across. Um, it looks like. Hey, there's some ducks, said Zali. Hey, there's some ducks, said Zali.
Speaker 1:So Tiger Power and Zali went over to say hello to the ducks. Um, hello, duckies, said Zali. Hoi, said Tiger Power. Hello, said one of the ducks. Um, what are you doing? Well, we saw that you were making a raft and we thought maybe we could help. Really said Z, help. Really said Zali. Really said the duck. Hooray, said Tiger Power. Um, how were you thinking of helping? Well, we are really good swimmers and we can swim really, really, really fast. So maybe we could help make your raft go really, really, really fast. Really, said Zali. Really said the duckies.
Speaker 1:So Zali and Tiger Pal climbed onto the raft and four little ducks came and sat at the back. Alright, are you ready? Said one of the ducks. Um, I guess so, said Zali. Maybe she said Um, definitely, said Tiger Pal. One, two, two, three, go. She yelled. And as she yelled go, all of the duckies started to kick their feet and the raft started to head off down the creek super duper fast, yelled Tiger Pal. As the raft was going super fast. How do we steer? Yelled Zali. Um, I'm not really sure, said Tiger Power. Um, try leaning. So Zali and Tiger Power tried leaning from side to side. And as they did, sure enough, the raft started to turn. Hooray, yelled Tiger Power. Zali and Tiger Power were flying down the river. So, so fast. Um, what are we gonna do next, said Zali and Tiger Power were flying down the river, so so fast. Um, what are we gonna do next, said.
Speaker 2:Zali.
Speaker 1:Well, we're almost up to the right section. What do you mean? The right section? Said Zali. Look. Zali looked ahead and, sure enough, in the middle of the creek was a whole bunch of Are they jumps. She said Yippee, said Tiger Power. So they blasted down the creek straight towards the jumps.
Speaker 1:As they hit the first jump, the ramp went into the air and started flying through the sky. The little duckies on the back were still holding on and they spread out their wings as they started to fly through the air. Zali was amazed. This is a flying raft as well. Well, it kind of glides, as long as the ducks keep their wings open. I'm gonna shut mine, said one of the ducks. What Said Tiger Pal? The ducky shut his wings and the raft dropped back into the water. Whoa, said Zali. Look, look up ahead. Here comes another jump. All right, said Zali, hold on.
Speaker 1:As they zoomed towards the next jump, they flew back up into the air and they were flying around once again. This time the duckies used their wings to turn from side to side as they flew through the air. It was amazing. Um, can we try something? Said Zali. What's that? Said Tiger Power. Um, for the next jump. Actually, I'm not going to tell you, said Zali. She turned around and started whispering to the ducks. What do you tell them? Said Tiger Power. Um, I can't tell you, said Zali, but I suggest you hold on.
Speaker 1:As the raft went flying down towards the last jump, it zoomed in super quick and then hit the jump and as it did, two of the ducks turned their wings sideways. What, yelled Tiger Power? As the raft started to go around and around and around, spinning and twirling through the sky. "'what's happening' said Tiger Pal. "'uh-oh', said Zali. "'i think we're gonna land'". The raft landed upside down and Zali and Tiger Pal got saturated. When they popped back up out of the water, they were laughing and laughing, and the ducks were giggling too "' was so much fun, said Tiger Pal.
Speaker 1:I know, said Zali, that was the best. Alright, zali, but we better get you back home. Hey, duckies, can you go super speed? Hang on, said one of the ducks. I'll try getting some more friends. So the ducks all started to call as loud as they could.
Speaker 2:Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack.
Speaker 1:And with that more and more ducks came from everywhere. Until there were so many ducks behind the raft, zali could hardly even see the creek anymore. Are you ready, said Tiger Pal. I don't think so, said Zali. Well, you better hang on. So, oh so, zali and Tiger Pal hold on as tightly. Oh, hang on, you know ready? Zali and Tiger Pal held on as tightly as they could. Three, two, one go.
Speaker 1:The raft took off and the ducks kicked their flappers as quick as they could Whack, whack, whack, whack, whack as they could. It was like a speedboat zooming up the creek so so fast, speedier and speedier. The whole time, zali and Tiger Pal would lean from side to side to side to try and keep it in the middle of the creek. Occasionally they even got lost and it went up on the side. Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum. Wow, said Zali, as they bumped over the edge and back down into the creek again. Hold on, said Tiger Pal, we're almost there. Look, there's a super jump. What, said Zali? They could see one big final ramp that was heading straight towards their house. Hold on, said Tiger Pal. So Zali and Tiger Pal held on as tightly as they could as they zoomed towards the ramp and they hit it on as tightly as they could. As they zoomed towards the ramp and they hit it, they went flying so high into the air. We're going too high, said Zali. We're going over my house. Jump, said one of the ducks. Um, okay, said Zali. So she jumped off the side of the raft and two of the duckies grabbed her and they flapped their wings and held her all the way down and dropped her back at the back door. Her mummy was sitting there waiting and she looked across. Zali, how did you get here? She said, did those ducks drop you off? And what have you been doing? Well, said Zali, I don't think you'd believe me, even if I told you. And that is the end of the story.
Speaker 1:This episode has been brought to you by Tiger Power Duck Rafts, the fastest rafts in all the world. They come with two different types of engines A 2-duck power and a 47-duck power. I'd go the 47. That one's a lot more fun. Hope you've been enjoying Silly Stories for Kids. This has been me, tiger Power, and me Sam. And who are you and Zali? ¶¶.
Speaker 2:Thank you ¶¶. ©. Transcript Emily Beynon.
